This service can be accessed any of these ways:

• Call the Recovery Support Centre directly for information or to schedule an appointment.
• Call the Mental Health and Addictions Intake Service at 1-855-922-1122.
• Drop in to the Recovery Support Centre in North Sydney during working hours. 
  • The North Sydney Recovery Support Centre is open seven days a week (including holidays).
    • Group education is offered twice a day, seven days a week at this location (afternoon and evening)

To access the Day Hospital, you must be referred by a psychiatrist. Please ask your psychiatrist or you may reach out to a member of your health care team (also called your Circle of Care) for more information.

Your Circle of Care is made up of members of the health care team who are involved in your ongoing recovery. This includes doctors, psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and other health care providers.

Day Hospital staff will review your referral. If the Day Hospital will support your treatment and healing journey, members of your Circle of Care will give you an admission date and explain the process for admission.

Patients are typically admitted to the hospital following assessment by psychiatrists or emergency department physicians at a hospital emergency room or a community clinic.

A referral from a psychiatrist or other mental health and addiction treatment provider is required.
