The Gathering Place

Located at the Newcombeville Fire Hall.
The Gathering Place provides a safe, non-clinical, non-stigma space for clients who are stable in the diagnoses to attend on a weekly basis. The activities planned for each week vary, ranging from cooking low-cost, simple meals; what resources are available within the community that fit their needs; and ways to live a healthier lifestyle physically and mentally. The main goal is to provide an amicable setting where those in attendance can be themselves, interact with their peers, and feel a sense of belonging without a clinical focus.
The Gathering Place has partnered with several local organizations that support the program in various ways such as providing transportation to/from the program at no-cost to clients, free access to the walking track and sensory spaces at the local sports center, and St. John Ambulance for monthly dog-therapy to name a few.
