The Bloom Program

The Bloom Program is a community pharmacy program designed to increase and improve mental health and addictions care for Nova Scotians. It is a partnership between community pharmacies and Nova Scotia Health's Mental Health & Addictions Program.

The Bloom Program is funded by the Department of Health and Wellness, Government of Nova Scotia.

 

Who is eligible to participate?

Anyone with a Nova Scotia Health Card who has:

  • One or more eligible mental health or addiction diagnoses

AND

  • A medication problem that they would like to work on with their pharmacist

 To enroll, please contact a Bloom Pharmacy near you.

 

What are the benefits?

  • No cost to patients.
  • No waitlist.
  • One-on-one care and patient advocacy from your pharmacist.
  • Access to and information about community mental health and addiction resources.
  • Assistance in navigating the mental health and addictions system in Nova Scotia.
  • Help managing medication-related issues.

      • The Peer Support Phone Service is a toll-free, non-crisis, province wide service, available to all Nova Scotians 18 years of age or older.  It is staffed by trained peer supporters, who have personal or family-based lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
