The community outreach assessment support and treatment team provides services for persons with both intellectual disability and also mental illness. These services include:
- Assessments including a detailed report and recommendations
- Short-term treatment and support with a view to discharge client back to his/her family doctor
- A plan for leaving the hospital and follow up after patients leave the hospital
- Working in collaboration with family physicians and other community health care providers to facilitate the recovery of individual clients.
